Fresenius Kabi South Africa Manufacturing

Fresenius Kabi Manufacturing South Africa is situated in Gqeberha and manufactures a wide range of infusion solutions in freeflex technology as well as IV medicines in a newly installed ampoule and vial suite.

Utilising state-of-the-art technologies for energy efficiency, the facility has also made striking advances in waste energy efficiency and has successfully disconnected from municipal water supply, becoming a self-sufficient unit.

Our plant’s efforts not only minimise its ecological impact but also set an exemplary standard for industrial sustainability.

Total Parenteral Nutrition Compounding

In Midrand you will find the only parenteral nutrition compounding centre in South Africa where a complete range of intravenous total nutrition for neonatal, paediatric and adult patients is made on a daily basis. The compounding centre aspectically produces compounded formulations containing both macro~ and micronutrients.

The aseptic unit uses state-of-the-art Barrier Isolator Technology to allow the production of intravenous total nutrition admixtures in a Grade A sterility environment.

Our recently expanded unit employs technology and procedures that produce products of highest standards and quality. This parenteral nutrition is distributed to some of the most vulnerable patients in South African hospitals.
