Freka® EasyIn

The Freka® EasyIn can remain in position for up to 4 weeks, if the tube and the nose are carefully cared for. If enteral feeding is required after this time, introducing a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) is recommended.

This special tube is intended to be used for intestinal feeding of critically ill patients suffering from: gastric stasis; gastric emptying disorders; pyloric stenosis. In addition the tube is also suitable for essential diagnostics and treatments on patients in intensive care, e.g. drainage of gastric fluids; pH measurement of gastric juice; early diagnosis and treatment of gastric bleeding.

Contraindications

Nasopharyngeal stenosis; severe injuries to the nasal and pharyngeal cavities, severe clotting disorders.
