Fresenius Kabi Employees Around the World Team Up for Breast Cancer Awareness
More than 12% of women will develop breast cancer throughout their lifetime. At Fresenius Kabi, we have the well-being of our patients at our heart. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual occasion to increase awareness of the disease, draw attention to the importance of early detection, and related care. Because: Raising awareness for cancer can save lives. In honor of this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our employees around the world showed their commitment in very different ways:
Fresenius Kabi in Haina, Dominican Republic, proudly joins the international campaign to do its part for breast cancer awareness in the Caribbean nation. In order to make a visible statement Fresenius Kabi’s employees in Haina pridefully wore a pink attire for every Friday of the month and shared the message of this inspiring initiative. At the site, information about breast cancer was shared via email, monitors, roll-ups and flyers, a conference on breast cancer detection and prevention took place and there was a free offering on breast sonography. Another highlight was a march for breast cancer awareness, to which Haina employees gathered.
Everyone can make a difference
As a value-driven organization, Fresenius Kabi truly cares about the people in its communities. We are dedicated to help improving patient outcomes and to be a partner for its stakeholders.
