We asked him a few questions:
Where are you working, and what does your role involve?
I’m working in Switzerland, in the biosimilar R&D center. My job is to develop analytical methods to support the development of our new products.
Can you describe a typical workday for you?
There is no typical workday, and that’s what I love about my job. I spend part of my time in the lab developing methods and performing analyses, and the rest is dedicated to solving challenges in the lab or on different projects.
What exactly do you do in the lab?
My job is to develop and qualify analytical methods to ensure the quality of our products – checking for impurities and ensuring the right profile. We also provide analytical support to guide process development.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning at work?
I start with a quick check in the lab to make sure everything is fine and the instruments that ran overnight are okay. After that, I greet my colleagues and check if the coffee machine is ready, as it’s where we gather in the morning.
When did you start working at Fresenius Kabi, and what did you do before?
I started in August 2020. Before that, I was a chemist in a hospital pharmacy laboratory while completing my PhD.
Why do you think working at Fresenius Kabi is special?
Fresenius Kabi allows you to see the direct impact of your work on patients in a relatively short time. Also, my colleagues and the dynamic, supportive atmosphere make it a great place to work.
How do you embody the Committed to Life promise?
For me, it’s about giving my best every day and striving for excellence to deliver products that meet our commitments to patients.
Do you have hobbies or interests outside of work?
I’m a musician and have been playing in orchestras since I was twelve. I’m also a photographer and enjoy capturing beautiful landscapes during my travels – though my wife sometimes gets impatient while I take the perfect shot.
